Sasquatch Investigations in Marysvale, Utah

Having learned of credible large hominid reports in the Marysvale, Utah area,
The Utah UFO Hunters sent investigators into the field. Marysvale is a small mining community in Paiute County. Marysvale lies not far from Big Rock Candy Mountain, which was made popular by the folk song. Not far from Marysvale is Butch Cassidy's log cabin. This area is rich in history and tradition. The Fremont Indian State Park lies some 20 miles to the north of Marysvale. This area has been held sacred by several indigenous tribes for over a thousand years. A river flows through the Marysvale Valley, surrounded by mountain peaks rising up to 12,189 feet. It then enters Marysvale Canyon and begins a drop of 60 feet per mile. The steep canyon walls present a scenic backdrop with rock formations and sheer cliffs rising 500 feet above the river's course. Bald, golden eagles, red tailed hawks, deer, beaver, muskrat, cougar and many other species including black bear abound in the area. So, it is not out of the realm of possibility that this area is also the home to large hominids. This area is not far from Beaver, Utah where in the 1960's, and 70's a significant number of large hominid sightings occurred.
Apparently, large hominid tracks have been found in the area for years now. With eerie screams in the night, and actual sightings of a very large bipedal, hair-covered hominid in this area is of great interest to the group. The last sighting we (here at UUFOH) are aware of was early this winter, in late 2001.
There are numerous summer cabins in the canyon west of Marysvale. During a late night summer party on the deck of such a cabin, a family was besieged by loud growls and howls, and sounds that were not produced by known wildlife. Later in the same area very large humanlike, footprints were found in the vicinity. This information along with the known sightings in the mountain ranges between Marysvale and Beaver were enough for the UUFOH to send investigators to the area. So far the search results are inconclusive. The team found no tracks, feces, or other signs indicating the presence of large primates. Yet, with the growing number of eyewitness reports, this is an area we will continue to watch closely. The team is hoping to go back when the roads are more passable, or when snowmobiles are donated to the UUFOH. (Hey, we can hope.) The work we have done so far is very preliminary and will be ongoing. This is definitely an area to monitor.

Was just looking at your website and reading about the bigfoot sightings down by Marysville.
You know at one time my grandfather had the 2nd. largest landholdings in Utah. His family use to own a huge portion of land around Beaver.That was where many of my dad's family settled was that area.Anyway,they owned all of the ground around Manderfield, which is just north of Beaver.Their property went from the mountains on the east to the mountains on the west.
My grandmother and I were talking about UFO'S and she was telling me some of the strange experiences she had. She said they had a summer cabin up in the east mountains, that they would ride horses to and stay at in the summer.One night she said they heard this god awful scream,and the horses broke loose and ran all the way back home.She said grandpa had to walk all the way to Manderfield to get them.But she never forgot that sound.She told me she knew it was Bigfoot.and how it scared them all .Well it sounds as if he is still roaming down around there. Just thought I would let you know.I have heard of people seeing bigfoot while deer hunting, east of that area also.
