WASHINGTON — Congressional researchers say the military doesn't have reliable estimates of how contaminated its test and training ranges are, nor how much it would cost to decontaminate them.
"The Federal government does not have any information about extraterrestrial life to conceal, and there are no secret projects for me to investigate." (7.7.04)
Military officials have quietly authorized the construction of four temporary germ laboratories at Dugway Proving Ground that would cultivate and test biological warfare agents, citing an immediate need "to deal with an appar...
Draft plan calls for both indoor and outdoor tests "New types of testing, training and technology development" are anticipated at Dugway, according to the draft document. Dugway was already the nation's leading bioweapon and defense test military zone.
The FBI confirms agents are investigating a possible link between a U.S. Army lab in neighboring Utah and the anthrax spores that have killed five people.
I noted the coincidence in cattle mutilations in Utah during the time that the Incinerator was in operation. Cattle were found mutilated in Utah's Uintah Basin
lVulnerability testing continues at Dugway Proving Ground, 70 miles from Salt Lake City. Several smaller communities are closer to the base, and Dugway itself is home to hundreds of civilians and military personnel and their families. The stated purpose of the tests is to evaluate biological detector systems and protective gear.
Since tests involve spraying simulants outdoors, it is important to understand how much risk they pose to humans who are exposed. Official statements have not always been clear on this matter. A July 1993 news release by the Dugway Public Affairs Office indicates that "no specific safety controls or protection are required for testing with simulants." The statement implies, erroneously, that the simulants are "harmless".
In the 1970s, the bacterium Serratia marcescens, a source of infections that can lead to death, was taken out of service as a simulant. And in the 1980s, dimethyl methylphosphonate, a chemical known as DPP, was removed from use as a simulant because of its carcinogenic and other toxic potential. I understand that one of today's witnesses, Earl Davenport, was exposed to DMMP at Dugway in 1984 and may still be suffering health problems as a result.
Indeed, simulants now used at Dugway continue to pose risks
lThe environmental remediation challenges at the Utah test sites are formidable, technically challenging, and resource intensive. In some cases, testing grounds cannot be cleaned up using current technology and may, therefore, remain disease reservoirs in perpetuity, essentially becoming “national sacrifice zones.”
lIn the end, it's critical there be some independent oversight of facilities like this;they can't simply be allowed to operate in complete secrecy."
lDUGWAY ACCIDENT IN 1968 INSPIRED THE BOOK "THE STAND," BY STEPHEN KING:
Stephen King , known horror author was once asked where he got the idea for his book The Stand,
King commented that he was inspired to write the apocalyptic thriller about a contagious disease after he had heard about an accident near the Dugway Proving Grounds in Utah:
In 1968, approximately 6,400 sheep died following the intentional release of a deadly nerve gas from a plane. According to a veterinarian who evaluated the sick and dying sheep, there was little doubt that the sheep had been poisoned with nerve gas. The sheep and other animals in the area had depressed cholinesterase levels, suggesting organophosphate nerve poisoning. Initially, the Department of Defense denied any responsibility for the accident, stating that the sheep died from organophosphate pesticides sprayed on a nearby alfalfa field. However, the nerve agent VX was identified when the poisoned sheep were autopsied, which made it clear that pesticides did not cause the deaths. Eventually, the Department of Defense reimbursed the ranchers for their animals.

lHUMANOID - ALIEN?
In 1983-84, Ross was in Utah, south of the Dugway Proving Ground, and about 20 miles north of Delta. He had been sleeping in his truck at an old sheepherders camp near a dry creek bed, one mile south of the old Pony Express Campground. He woke up in the early hours when something made a noise running, and had the feeling that something had looked in his window, made a noise, and ran away through the three foot high grass.

lBuried UFO's?
According to the John Lear scenario, there is a craft 250 feet wide that is buried (since it was too big to carry out) at Utah's Dugway Proving Ground.

MICHAEL ARMY AIRFIELDIS THE SECOND LONGEST RUNWAY IN THE WORLD
"Knolls" Area To Be Included In Expansion
UTAH TEST & TRAINING RANGE
A broad military airspace above some 2,624 square miles of land, is a "Wide Open Secret"
It took an act of congress, but they finally got money to build a huge runway, near an existing runway. This runway will be 2000 feet longer for "cargo planes"
(The second longest runway in the world)
Where you ask, would Congress (who doesn't like the budget) put a new military runway?
The answer is MAAF-Dugway Proving Ground, and "cargo planes" aren't the only "Craft" that will be using it!
In 1992 a man prospecting in an area near the Eagle Test Range in the West desert of Utah snapped a photo of what looked like a "by the book" alien Grey. The picture itself could be dismissed as anomalous simulacrum. However there is a provocative story behind the photo that needs to be told. Also it may relate to the rumors of "Predator Camouflage" being tested at the base.
This story and many more Alien encounters from Dugway are listed on the lUtah Alien page
